In the terms
The three clauses that matter most.
Late content, extra requests and unpaid final invoices cause most of the trouble on client projects. Each one is dealt with in writing, before the work starts.
Clause 1: Content delays
The problem
You're ready to build and the client still hasn't sent the copy or the images. The launch slips, and the delay lands on you.
The clause
Puts in writing, before work starts, what happens to the schedule when the client's content is late.
Clause 2: Change requests
The problem
"Can we just add one more page?" Small asks pile up until the project is twice the size at the same price.
The clause
Defines how work outside the agreed scope gets requested and approved, before you start on it.
Clause 3: Ownership on final payment
The problem
The site is live, the client has what they wanted, and the final invoice is still sitting unpaid.
The clause
Ownership of the website transfers to the client on final payment. Until then, it stays yours.

FAQ
Before you buy.
Is this legal advice?
No. The Scope of Work & Terms is a starting point, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it before you use it with clients.
Does it work outside the US?
Every document is an editable Word file, so you can change the currency, dates and wording to suit where you work. Contract law differs between countries, so have a local lawyer review the terms before you rely on them.
What if I'm not on WordPress?
The kit is made for freelancers and agencies building on WordPress, Shopify or custom code. Proposals, scope, onboarding and handoff follow the same steps whatever the platform, and anything platform-specific can be edited in Word.
Can I use it with every client?
Yes. The licence covers unlimited client use, and you can edit and rebrand every document. The one thing you can't do is resell the templates.
Do I get updates?
Your purchase lives in your Gumroad library. If the files are updated, you download the new version from the same place.
